Sleepover Birthday Parties
Girls love sleepover birthday parties and they rank high on a list of favorite parties for many young girls, teens and young adults. They give the girls a chance to hang out and spend lots of uninterrupted time with their friends, talking, playing games, watching movies, eating and staying up past their bedtime.
Generally girls start attending and hosting sleepover parties around the age of 7 or 8 and continue until they reach the age of 12 or 13. Consult with your daughter and ask her what she actually wants to do at her party. Even very young girls have firm opinions of the type of food, games and music she wants. Have her come up with a list of ideas before you offer your own suggestions. Together the two of you will come up with an evening of fun activities.
Don’t forget the rules. Are you going to establish a few rules to prevent problems before they happen? The rules will vary depending on the age group of the girls. Brainstorm with your daughter and come up with a set of rules that she finds agreeable. Make a poster board with all the rules and place it where all the guests will see it.
