Make Farm Animal Cupcakes

I would like to show you an easy way to make farm animal cupcakes. All you need to do is bake a batch of cupcakes, make your favorite frosting and roll out a small bit of fondant. Take a close look at the cupcakes in the images below.

Lets take a look at how we can make the cow. The cupcakes have white frosting. You will need to tint some white fondant black and another amount pink. Take small pieces of the black fondant and form ears. Make a small white roll of fondant and cut off small sections for the horns. Cut or form pink fondant for the nose. Place the pieces on the cupcake. Use decorative tube icing for the eyes and nose.

Now look at the pig. The pig has the same exact parts as the cow without the horns. The shapes are about the same the only thing is that they are colored differently. The pig has pointed ears and a little flop over.

Pig Cupcakes

The cow has rounded ears. If you place the cow and pig next to each other – you can tell they are a cow and pig.

Pig, Chick and Cow Cupcakes

The little chick has yellow frosting with orange fondant or candy pieces used for the beak and comb. Because of the shape of the beak and comb you will want to roll out the fondant and cut these shapes with a knife.

The cookies below were cut out with a cookie cutter and covered in colored fondant. Then decorative tubes of icing were used to add the details.

Take a look at children’s coloring books of farm animals, the shapes are simple. Just by looking at pictures and the parts that make the animal you will be able to make farm animal cupcakes for any farm animal that you want.
