Chocolate ganache is the pastry world’s most famous chocolate confection. It is a really easy recipe to make. Traditionally, it is made with half chocolate and half cream. Michele Manfredi is going to show you just how easy it is to make chocolate ganache using the stove top.

You’ll need:
Equal parts of chocolate and cream
4 ounces dark chocolate
4 ounces heavy cream
Instructions:
1. Heat cream over medium heat until it comes to a simmer.
2. Pour over the chocolate and make sure all the chocolate is covered with the cream.
3. Let it sit there for a minute.
4. After a minute stir with your whisk.
At first you’ll think you did something wrong. Don’t worry you didn’t. It won’t look good – just keep stirring. You will see how it all comes together to form a nice thick glossy chocolate sauce.
5. You’re done when all the chocolate is completely melted. As it cools it thickens.
Michele suggests using the best dark chocolate that you can because, the results depend on the quality of chocolate you use. She likes to add a pinch of salt to bring out the chocolate taste. You can also add almond, orange, mint or maybe vanilla extra.
