Make A Princess Aurora Crown
At Princess Aurora’s christening, three good fairies arrive to bless her with their gifts. Before the last fairy could speak, a wicked witch curses the princess because she wasn’t invited. On Aurora’s sixteenth birthday she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die.
The last fairy can’t break the curse but she does weaken it. The curse is altered, Aurora doesn’t die, she falls into a deep sleep. Thus the name of Sleeping Beauty was given to Aurora.
As a symbol of Aurora’s royalty Cindy will show you how to make a Princess Aurora Crown. This jeweled crown makes a great party craft project and the perfect head piece to wear during the party.

Make A Princess Aurora Crown By Cindy Littlefield
You’ll need:
* Crown template
* Scissors
* Pencil
* Craft foam (light and dark yellow)
* Tacky glue or a hot glue gun
* Acrylic gems (sold in craft stores and large department stores)
* A headband
* Pinch style clothespins
Instructions:
1. Print out the template and cut it out. Then trace it onto a piece of light yellow craft foam.

2. Cut out the foam tracing and place it atop a piece of dark yellow craft foam. Trace the cutout, leaving a 1/4-inch border all the way around to create a second crown piece that’s slightly larger than the first. Cut out the second tracing.

3. Glue the two cutouts together, centering the smaller one on top of the larger one. Then glue acrylic gems along the top of the crown. Allow the glue to thoroughly dry.

4. Next, glue the lower edge of the crown to the headband, starting in the center and working your way out to the ends. If you opt to use tacky glue, you can hold the two pieces together with pinch-style clothespins until the adhesive dries.
Note:(To keep the clothespins from leaving an impression on the face of the crown, sandwich scrap pieces of craft foam between them and the crown.)
