How To Make A Sleepover Cake

Lee Woodruff from Family Fun is going to show you how to make a sleepover cake for your sleepover birthday party. The cake is a lot of fun to make and I’m sure your daughter will want to help you.

How To Make A Sleepover Cake

What You Will Need

1 chilled rectangular cake
several shades of frosting
Twinkies
marshmallows
vanilla wafers
gel icing
1 mini jaw breakers different flavors of fruit by the foot

Instructions

1. Take your chilled 13 x 9 inch cake turned upside down and lightly frost with white icing.

2. Cut the Twinkies in half length wise and place the tops cut side down in a row on top of the cake.

3. Frost the top third of the cake with 1 color of frosting.

4. Place flattened marshmallows at the top of each Twinkie for pillows.

5. Use a different color of icing to frost over the Twinkies and the remaining section of the bed.

6. Take one wafer and make a face for each girl. Curly hair and big smiles can be made with gel icing and mini jawbreakers for eyes. Your daughter will have fun making a face that represents each of her friends coming to the party.

7. Place one face on each of the marshmallow pillows.

8. Use gel icing to make flowers and decorate the blanket.

9. For the finishing touches use some fruit by the foot to make a border around the blanket and a colorful bed skirt.
