How To Make A Holley Shiftwell Change Purse

Boys aren’t the only ones that enjoy the movie Cars 2 girls do too. So with the girls in mind we have a cute craft project for them. The instructions are easy to follow and they will learn how to make a Holley Shiftwell change purse.

Holley Shifwell is a very beautiful young British desk agent stationed in Tokyo. Because of her technical skill, International spy, Finn McMissile needs her expertise. Holley’s new position is a spy in training working with Finn McMissile on his latest top secret field operation.

This is a good project for you to do when you have both boys and girls are at your Cars 2 party. The boys can make a Lightning McQueen Car, Cars 2 Playset or Make A Tow Mater Paper Craft.

How To Make A Holley Shiftwell Change Purse By Cindy Littlefield

You’ll need:

* Holley Shiftwell Change Purse Template
* Scissors
* Purple felt
* Stiff black felt
* White sticky-back felt
* Straight pins
* 2 googly eyes (about 3/4 inch wide)
* 2 green buttons (about 1/2 inch wide)
* Hot glue gun
* Velcro fastener

Instructions:

1. Print the template and use it to cut out the pieces from the specified colors of felt.

2. Stick the inner reinforcement pieces to the car pieces, as shown.

3. Glue the tires onto the inner back piece, as specified on the template.

4. Stick the windshield, headlights and mouth onto the front car piece.

5. For eyes, snip through the plastic of the googly eyes. Remove the black centers and glue them to the centers of the green buttons. Glue the eyes onto the windshield.

6. Glue the two car pieces together along the edges (with the tires sandwiched between them), leaving a 2.5 inch opening at the top of the purse.

7. For the finishing detail, attach a velcro fastener to the inner purse top, as shown.

This project will also make great take home gifts for the girls. You can cut out all the pieces and place all the parts to the project along with instructions for how to make a Holley Shiftwell change purse in a plastic zip bag. The girls will enjoy making your gift at home.
