This is an awesome blog. Sure is true birthday parties sometimes get out of hand with how much they can cost. I do agree that kids should have a party and a few gifts. Hi Mimmi,

No mold was used but, you could use a mold. The windshield was cut with a very sharp knife. A bar of chocolate that is placed in the refrigerator will be very hard when removed. This could break when you attempt to cut the windshield.

It is easier to cut the chocolate if it is at room temperature and soften a bit. You could also cut a larger shape and carve the edges down with your knife. After you cut your windshield you can place it back in the refrigerator to stiffen up again.

These look great and I am definitely going to attempt them for DD’s 4th B-day next weekend – One question though…did you use a mold for the windshield or did you cut the choc. from a bar – I am envisioning not being able to cut the choc. without it breaking apart.
