When getting your child ready to attend a birthday party it is a good time to discuss proper party etiquette and behavior. Remind them that this is their friend’s special day and it is an honor to be part of the celebration.
Tip 1. Arrive On Time
The hostess may have special events planned with a timed schedule such as a special guest or entertainer. So having everyone arrive on time is important for the success of the party.

When arriving at the party say happy birthday to the birthday girl or boy. Say hello to the hostess then to the rest of the guests.

Join in and play all the games and events that are planned. Be a good sport, you don’t have to win all the games. Cheer your friends on if you are on the sidelines.
Tip 5. Respect
You are a guest in your friends home. Remain and play in the party room, don’t go off exploring. Listen to the hostess.
