Have you considered having a 4th of July picnic or a backyard barbecue this year? Throwing a great party before watching the evening fireworks will be fun for everyone. Planning a picnic or barbecue doesn’t have to be a lot of work.

The first thing you need to decide on is where you will have the party and the time your party will start. If you have a picnic at your local park you will need to consider the fact that many other families will also be celebrating in the park. Having a lot of people could add to the fun. Or because of too many people you may want to have a backyard barbecue.

As soon as you decide on the type of party you will have and where it will be held you need to send out invitations. Your invitations can be purchased or you could make them yourself. Whether you purchase or make your invitations, the type of invitation will set the theme and tone of the party. Invitations will also help your guests become excited about the up coming party and create a buzz.

Once you have your invitations and you have filled them out, don’t forget to let your guests know the type of clothing to wear. Enclosing a map to the party location will be helpful and greatly appreciated by the guests. Not everyone is good about finding a location with just having the address. I know I always seem to be turning in the wrong direction.

Hang some balloons or a larger banner outside to make it easier for you guests to find the party.
